If you want to become a successful author, and if you're passionate
enough about your book idea and writing project, then we want to help you.
Below, I've listed several ways that our clients have used our
mentoring services to jump-start their writing projects.
While enrolled in a writing course, we will review and critique
your assignments.
For one hour's worth of mentoring time, we will review and send
written feedback on your homework for two lessons. This will help
you get on the right path for starting your book. We will point out
what's good, what needs work, and we will suggest how you can make
it better.
For one hour's worth of mentoring time, you can submit up to ten
questions about your writing project, and we will respond by e-mail
within 24-48 hours (Monday through Friday).
Note: If you have a question about the information in the course,
or how to do the homework, naturally, we do not charge for that.
It's important to us that you succeed.
You can schedule a one-on-one telephone mentoring session with us.
During our telephone mentoring session, we will help you by
answering any questions that you have about your writing—how to
choose a great title for your book; how many chapters you need; how
to create believable characters; how to protect your work; how to
expand the information to make short reports into a full-blown book;
how to research your topic, how to choose and find a publisher, how
to market your book, etc.
The amount of time we spend on the phone depends upon how many
hours you've paid for; we calculate the calls based on 15-minute
intervals. If you use only 15 minutes of calling time on your first
call, for example, then you can use the remaining 45 minutes on
another date.
Written feedback for a report, an article, or book chapters.
Mentoring is also useful when you want written feedback on
anything that you've written. We can evaluate the grammar, the
focus, the topic, the intent and deliverability of the chapter's
goals, etc.
On average, we can review up to 25 pages in one hour's time, and
send you written feedback. This option, alone, has saved many
authors hours of time getting their content in order, and staying
focused.
If you're headed in the wrong direction, or your focus is
scattered in your writing, it's best to learn about it as early as
you can, rather than writing hundreds of pages and tossing them in
the trash, only to have to start over again.
Brainstorming a book idea
You can also schedule a one-hour telephone mentoring session to
brainstorm and kick around several book ideas that you have in your
head. We can help you get a clear focus on your target market, and
help you determine the goal for your book—before you even write one
word.
